We are recruiting for an Internship / Associate to join the Biologics Clinical Planning & Operations (BCPO) Advanced Technology team, located in Leiden, The Netherlands or Schaffhausen, Switzerland.

Specifically, you will be responsible for evaluating and feasibility testing of innovative technologies that improve our manufacturing processes, and support the implementation of projects into our clinical drug substance or drug product pilot plants.

In this temporary experience development position, the intern / associate will gain basic knowledge of the role of clinical manufacturing and the related processes, concepts, techniques and approaches adopted within this functional area.

YOUR Responsibilities & YOUR Impact
  • Lead and participate in investigatory proof-of-concept projects with cross-departmental team members to evaluate new or existing technologies and/or processes
  • Perform research and development supporting the implementation of innovative approaches that solve problems.
  • Design and perform experiments to statistically analyze and verify these technologies and processes and determine their value (material savings, labor savings, and/or value to our strategic partners)

Qualifications

We would love to hear from YOU, if you have/are:
  • MSc. in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledgeable in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes is beneficial
  • Demonstrates excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills and is a strong collaborator and team player.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch and/or German (dependent on the location) knowledge is a benefit

While working with Janssen R&D, you will get extensive experience with the clinical manufacturing process for biological drug substances and products. You will also receive hands on experience working in collaborative groups problem solving within a manufacturing environment.
