Job Purpose

To consult with dealers to market Caterpillar products and services and assist in the development of dealer sales capability. This is the third field-based assignment for an experienced, individual contributor on assignments that are complex and challenging and begin to become strategic in nature.

Job Duties

  • The incumbent will counsel dealers in developing increased human performance capability, providing guidance on existing and potential customer service issues and improvement measures within one industry.

  • Communicate effectively across product, industry, dealer and/or customer audiences to gain understanding and acceptance of ideas and recommendations.

  • Interact with the customer directly to understand their aftermarket needs and how current and potential future solutions could help them achieve their goals.

  • Establish high-level relationship with decision makers by maintaining regular touchpoints and demonstrate progress on agreed aftermarket projects.

  • Create and promote programs that increase sales while maximizing price realization.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to navigate and influence in a large matrix organization.

  • Broad company knowledge and strong understanding of dealer operations.

  • Good human relations skills in order to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department and to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures.

Top candidates will also have:

  • Knowledge of company aftermarket services, and intellectual curiosity towards broader company solutions.

  • Experience working with large international accounts and large customers.

  • Additional language Spanish or Italian

Background/Experience:

  • Must have a completed degree in Marketing or Business Management/ Similar.

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in a similar industry.

  • Experience in the construction industry.

  • The ability and willingness to travel 30% of the time.

  • English.
