Responsibilities

You will support the Local General Counsels & Compliance teams in the implementation of the Holcim Compliance Program (HCP) in Europe, ensuring consistency with local legal requirements, focusing on prevention, detection and remediation of compliance risks and your responsibilities include (but are not not limited to):
  • Stakeholder relationship with local management and enable them to fully understand compliance risk exposure areas
  • Effective implementation of compliance processes and adequate training
  • Development of compliance excellence with a view to build, manage and exchange in-house knowledge, expertise and best practices
  • Contribution to new business projects by ensuring key compliance risks are anticipated, considered and addressed

  • Encourage a culture of speaking up
  • Appropriate documentation of compliance support activities and monitoring remediation resulting from conducted investigations
Education/Qualifications
  • Law or business degree from a reputable law school / university
Experience
  • Overall minimum 7 years work experience with at least 3 years of strong compliance focus (particularly: anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, trade sanctions, data privacy)
  • Experience with compliance management systems and corporate investigations (particularly: Europe or USA, or in other strong regulatory/enforcement jurisdiction)
  • Proven track record of working successfully with other functions and capable of providing meaningful input to management, M&A and project teams in terms of compliance assessment and diligence requirements
  • Solid experience in an international and decentralised environment and in cross-cultural teams.
Knowledge & Skills
  • General agility and sound judgement
  • Highly developed legal and business acumen with a pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure the right outcomes and impact
  • Forward looking and self-motivated, with experience in managing in dynamic, complex, challenging and ambiguous environments
  • Creative and able to come up with new ways for compliance trainings and compliance communications
  • Excellent with MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Strong command of English and French
