- Challenging Payroll Specialist role, collaborating with BDO, payroll for EMEA|Interesting pharmaceutical company which is constantly growing its footprint
Our client is a fast growing, innovative and dynamic organization in the pharma industry. The role covers a population of roughly 250 employees across the EMEA region. We are looking for a motivated candidate to join the team ASAP until at least end of March 2022.
Job Description
- Oversee and manage all payroll activities withinEMEA (currently 150 employees in Switzerland, 100 employees in Germany, 15 in France, 11 in Sweden and 2 in the Netherlands) according to applicable laws and regulations (with support of an external payroll provider), including:
- monthly payroll processes
- month-end close activities
- year-end activities (e.g. various declarations, annual salary statements for Switzerland, Beschäftigungsbonus / Deckungsprüfung for Austria, Training & Apprentices Tax for France and Künstler Sozialkasse & Schwerbehindertenabgabefor Germany)
- To manage social insurances, accident and daily sickness insurance, taxes
- To support the expansion within EMEA into new regions, payroll set-up of new locations
- Support internal and external audits related to payroll (e.g. SOX, OR, Social Security)
- To support the development, implementation and administration of compensation and benefits initiatives and the annual salary review process
- Close collaboration with the Equity Team, e.g. support of the roll-out of the company’s equity plan within EMEA (taxation etc.)
- Reporting (e.g. vacation and overtime accruals, overhead costs, pay ratio), provide key information to internal stakeholders
- Ensure data quality in the HR IT System HUB
- Respond to payroll queries in a timely manner and in a way that aligns with our values
- Proactively optimize processes and operations in order to comply with internal and external policies and regulations and improve our ways of working (state-of-the-art payroll processes)
- Lead and support projects or trainings within the area of expertise
- Ability to collaborate successfully with internal and external stakeholders across the organization on a global level
- Commercial Apprenticeship and further education in HR or similar
- Several years of experience in the payroll and/or compensation & benefits field
- Good knowledge of employment law, socials insurances and tax regulations
- Advanced Excel and reporting knowledge, Abacus and Success Factors is a plus
- International experience especially within EMEA in changing, fast-paced and fast-growing companies is desired
- Ability to work in a multinational & complex environment managing external payroll providers
- Strong problem-solving attitude with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities and to build strong professional relationships
- Strong team player with hands-on mentality, service-oriented, analytical and detail-oriented working style
- Strong language skills in English, German good level (around B2, ability to communicate with the government offices)
