The role

J.P.Morgan’s Asset Management team covering Switzerland manages out of Zurich and Geneva relationships with strategic partners in order to help them meet their investment objectives. The business across the country is well established.

We are looking for a leader based in Zurich with strong organizational skills to continue the direction and grow JPMAM’s market share in the region with a focus on its Funds business. The successful candidate will possess the ability to think strategically and will understand and be able to work with the existing culture to foster talent and promote growth of people, products and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve asset growth in the region for the Funds business by ensuring the team is able to develop and grow strategic relationships across the markets
  • Ensure the regional team is equipped to develop strong product and platform expertise and build internal relationships to provide effective solutions to client requests, as well as strategically identifying product solutions to complement clients’ or prospects’ platforms and gaps
  • Ensure co-ordination across all Asset Management teams based in Zurich and Geneva with Sales Teams, Investment Specialist teams, Funds Client Service and Marketing to ensure seamless implementation of AM strategy across strategic Funds partnerships
  • Lead Funds sales teams to prioritize product focuses and oversee client activity end-to-end
  • Coordinate with Strategic Relationship teams in other regions to ensure a consistent approach across regions and delivery of an integrated client due-diligence approach

Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • The successful candidate will have an established track record of leading broader teams, developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, and successfully growing a business (incl. efficiently managing matrix relationships)
  • Experience in managing complex and global clients and centralised investment funds paneling processes with exemplary client engagement and interaction skills
  • Strong technical investment knowledge, with excellent understanding of markets, fund solutions, competitive positioning and regulatory environments including ESG regulatory framework
  • Analytical with experience selling complex products and solutions across the asset class waterfront (equities, fixed income, multi-asset and liquid alternatives )
  • Effective communication and messaging skills, and strong internal networker
  • Self-sufficient with excellent planning, time management, and organisational skills, showcasing the ability to steer toward challenging deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative and dynamic team environment. Ability to recognize the existing strengths and cultural of the business and where additional gains can be made

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Multi-year experience in the Asset Management industry and preferably in a similar role profile
  • CFA
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, German and/ or French
  • Ready to travel and to work at flexible working hours
