Join our dynamic and diverse team as an Automation and Calibration Engineer, where your expertise in programming and troubleshooting PLCs, coupled with hands-on knowledge of industrial robots and control systems, will drive efficiency and continuity in our manufacturing processes. As a crucial member of our technical team, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of automated systems across diverse production lines.

Responsibilities

  • Validate programming capabilities through proficient Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate hands-on knowledge to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLCs, robots, vision systems, and other automation components.
  • Apply experience in providing support or maintenance within manufacturing environments.
  • Utilize your working experience in debugging industrial robots, including those from manufacturers such as ABB and Fanuc.
  • Exhibit proficiency in Industrial Communication Protocols, including PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and EtherNet/IP.
  • Ensure the availability of robotic/automated systems in different production lines by handling troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and improvements.
  • Work in alignment with the maintenance group plans, addressing automation tasks in the operation areas with minimum supervision.
  • Take ownership of the calibration process for the entire site, collaborating closely with selected suppliers, maintaining data integrity of the used digital tool, and performing specific internal calibrations.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in robotics/ automation engineering. Vocational training or technical diplomas, with experience, could also be exceptionally considered.
  • Fluency in English; fluency in German is an significant advantage.
  • Experience in technical services, emphasizing environmental awareness, risk management, security and safety, loss prevention, equipment service/repair, and automation technology.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting, production, and process control.
  • Knowledge in MES systems are considered a plus.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach, ability to make decisions
