As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).Your Responsibilities► Lead complex development projects with avionics suppliers► Consider and evaluate technical alternatives► Convert product requirements into system requirements within technical, schedule and cost constraints► Support technical meetings (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.)► Coordinate with other internal departments to integrate a flight-worthy and certifiable system to the AW09 platform► Prepare and perform laboratory and ground testing, certification testing, support flight testing► Provide assistance to other system engineers for the creation of avionics substantiation and compliance data► Prepare technical and certification documentationYour Qualifications & Experience► 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in avionics developments for fixed or rotary wings platforms► Relevant experience of development, integration and certification of avionics systems, such as electronic displays, navigation, communication and utilities systems► University Degree or equivalent in electrical or aerospace engineering► Familiarity with EASA and/or FAA certification requirements► Hands-on experience in certifying a new aircraft an asset► Familiarity with environmental qualification DO-160► Familiarity with airborne software and hardware development DO-178 and DO-254Our offerWe are offering an interesting job opportunity in an entrepreneurial environment with room to grow in every dimension.Your next stepIf you are interested, please submit your complete application documentsin English including the following attachments:– Cover letter– CV– Diplomas– Employment referencesDepartment of Engineering located in CH-8620 WetzikonTo apply for this job please please complete the following form .
