For Drug Product Services (DPS), our successful Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) branch, located in Basel, Switzerland, we have exciting opportunities. Become part of a group that enables its customers to meet some of the greatest challenges in patient treatment and join us by applying for the position as (Principal) Scientist Pre-clinical DP manufacturing

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the pre-clinical Drug Product manufacturing team for biotech parenteral pharmaceutical products (vials, pre-filled syringes, ampules)
  • Create an inspiring and engaged work environment for the pre-clinical manufacturing team with efficient and agile working processes
  • Establish/Improve Drug Product manufacturing processes for proteins, antibody drug conjugates as well as cell&gene therapies
  • Lead strategic CAPEX investment projects from an user side (e.g. building of a new pre-clinical manufacturing facility)
  • Supervise the installation, qualification, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment for pre-clinical DP manufacturing
  • Supervise and ensure documentation of data following applicable lab procedures and current documentation practices
Key Requirements
  • Science or engineering degree (PhD, MSc) in a relevant discipline, e.g. Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical or Biochemical Engineering, or training on the job with significant work experience
  • Work experience in biotech and Drug Product manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry is prefered
  • People leadership experience in an dynamic and agile environment
  • Excellent communication skills with excellent command of English, written and spoken; ability to communicate in German is desired
