Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and RequiredInteractions:

As a BioPharma Workflows Specialist, you will drive Mass Spectroscopy growth with the focus on accurate mass in your region within the BioPharma market, through identification, development and closing of sales opportunities. You will maintain and develop customer relationships and work in close collaboration with the Capillary Electrophoresis Sales rep, Applications/Support & Service Team to position the best possible solutions to the customer and develop sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for MS sales through the identification, development and closing of MS business opportunities within the assigned sales region.
  • Improve win-rate by collaborative sales process with Applications/Support and Service Teams in the BioPharma market.
  • Maintain the latest information on key workflows and market trends and incorporate into local sales strategies.
  • Work with the Applications/Support Team to manage key demos for associated opportunities including pre-positioning, data review and data presentation.
  • Work with Market Development Managers to drive opportunities through regional conferences, seminars, lunch and learns, etc.
  • Collect Voice of Customer (VOC) and market information and feedback to the organization
  • Develop existing regional MS user base and leverage as local sales references.
  • Work with Market Development Managers to leverage existing and identify new regional Thought-Leaders.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Degree in Life Sciences with good understanding of Biopharma manufacturing and/or testing.
  • Several years sales experience in a comparable market/product
  • Scientific background, with knowledge or ability to learn LC-MS. Accurate mass MS knowledge a plus, but not essential.
  • Highly self-motivated and enthusiastic with excellent presentation skills.
  • A team player that can bring different departments together for optimal results.
  • Able to build strong relationships internal and externally.
  • Willingness to travel (50-75%) in the region.
Additional Requirements:
  • The position is preferably based in a major hub in the region with easy access to an international airport.
  • Fluent in English and German is required.
