Your role
  • Accountable to gather user requirements and perform needs assessments to guide development and selection of software systems.
  • Identify problems and prospects by performing independent research and assessing best practices.
  • Support our scientific partners by helping them to visualize data and generating new scientific insights.
  • Interview business partners, organize and run requirements sessions and/or workshops with groups of users
  • Support scientific research with software systems that capture experimental design, enable data analysis and interpretation.
  • Liaise with research scientists and communities to define and identify the right solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional groups (User Researcher, Business Analyst, UX Design, Product Management), in a highly matrixed organization to build constructive and effective relationships throughout the whole organization.
  • Identify and qualify new demand and assist with steering proposals through the early phases of approval.
  • Ensure the introduction of new / modified services happens in a planned, controlled and timely manner to minimize disruption and maximize benefit.
  • Create the detailed IT solution/service design, based on functional specifications, to meet quality and performance requirements and technical constraints.
  • For new systems, help define goals and objectives of service level agreements (SLAs), including performance expectations.
Your profile
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, health administration, engineering, sciences, or health informatics or any other related field.
  • At least 3+ years of experience as a business analyst working with agile engineering teams.
  • Extensive experience within the pharmaceutical industry and domain knowledge to help elucidating and documenting requirements.
  • Agile experience and working styles using Kanban or SCRUM in a matrixed product team will be important as well.
  • Fluency in English is required, German would be an asset.
