Position Summary
As an CGI Designer Internin our design team, you will work closely with all the Nestlé Research institutes, collaborate with scientists, and create engaging visuals, animations and prototypes that translate concepts into consumer-friendly designs. You will take the briefs from our internal customers and use 3D Design solutions to generate 3D models, CGI & animations, digital environments, CAD files, and physical prototypes.
A Day in the Life of a CGI Designer Intern
- Take and transform briefs and stories from across the company into visually appealing design material
- 3D modeling of in-house & competition products, packaging, and environments (e.g., sales locations)
- Generating CGI, animations and 3D immersive experiences including texturing, lightning, and model integration
- Creating technical CAD files “Ready for rapid prototyping”
- Participating to the creation of tooling, mock-ups and prototypes from 3D models using fast prototyping equipment
- Collaborating in creative workshops to ideate, visualize and prototype new concepts
- Bachelors or master’s degree in 3D design with strong skills in CGI, animations, and CAD or as part of your university program
- Proficiency in some 3D design tools (Inventor, Alias, Maya, 3DS Max, Fusion 360, VRED, Substance, Premiere)
- Willingness to learn using 3D scanners and 3D printers (Scantech and Stratasys)
- Ability to interact with scientific/technical experts and industrial design colleagues
- Strong communication and presentation skills (English spoken environment)
- Notions of concept ideation and visualization: Sketch, illustration, storyboarding
