About Our Client

Our client, an internationally renowned pharmaceutical company is currently looking for a Chemical Scientist 80-100 % (m/f/d) available immediately for lucerne area, to join an international team for a period of 12 months.

Depending on the selected candidate’s performance and motivation, the possibility of an extension or a permanent take over.

Job Description

In this role, the Chemical Scientist (m/f/d) will actively participate in various laboratory analyses, optimize methods, and ensure accurate scientific reporting. The candidate will be responsible for performing the following tasks:

  • Performing crystallization experiments, in addition to conducting filtration and drying experiments.
  • Examining both solid and liquid samples through in-situ methods including ATR-FTIR, FBRM, PVM, and Raman spectroscopy, as well as ex-situ techniques such as GC, XRPD, scanning electron microscopy, laser diffraction, DSC, TGA, dynamic water sorption, and BET.
  • Documenting the corresponding results in English.
  • Organizing and performing maintenance on analytical equipment.
  • Proper disposal of chemicals in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Ordering and inventorying laboratory chemicals.
  • Collaborating with engineers, technicians, and external service providers.
  • Representing the company in the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) group.

The Successful Applicant

In order to be considered for the role, the selected candidate must have:

  • Successfully completed bachelor’s degree in chemistry or pharmaceutical technology
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ working experience
  • Basic knowledge of crystallization is desirable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and a strong affinity for complex IT systems
  • High attention to quality and efficient work methods
  • Fluent in both German and English, both written and spoken (B2/C1)
  • Able to work effectively in a team, strong willingness to learn and independent way of working
