Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Computer Science Teacher to join our esteemed faculty at our international school offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in computer science education and be committed to delivering a comprehensive and engaging curriculum to students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Development: Design and develop an engaging and challenging computer science curriculum that aligns with the International Baccalaureate (IB) program standards and objectives.

2. Instruction: Deliver high-quality computer science lessons to students, ensuring that all instructional materials and methods cater to various learning styles and abilities.

3. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

4. Assessment and Evaluation: Implement effective methods of assessing student progress and understanding, providing timely feedback to students and parents to enhance learning outcomes.

5. Technology Integration: Integrate technology effectively into the teaching and learning process, using modern tools and software to enhance students’ digital literacy and computational thinking.

6. Extra-Curricular Activities: Encourage and support students in participating in computer science-related clubs, competitions, and events to foster a deeper interest in the subject.

7. Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in computer science education, attend workshops, and engage in continuous professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.

8. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other subject teachers, the IB program coordinator, and school administration to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded educational experience for students.

9. Parent Communication: Maintain open and proactive communication with parents, keeping them informed about students’ progress, challenges, and achievements in the computer science program.

10. IB Program Requirements: Familiarize yourself with the International Baccalaureate (IB) program requirements and expectations, and ensure that the computer science curriculum aligns with the IB standards.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred but not required.

- Teaching certification or relevant credentials in Computer Science education.

- Experience in teaching Computer Science in an IB school or familiarity with the IB curriculum is highly desirable.

- Strong knowledge of computer programming languages, software development, algorithms, and data structures.

- Proficiency in integrating technology tools and applications into the learning process.

- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

- Adaptability and a commitment to understanding and respecting diverse cultures and backgrounds.

- A passion for education and a dedication to inspiring students in the field of Computer Science.

Be able to relocate to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia within a month school will provide with paperwork process during the relocation process. More details can be discussed throughout the interview process.

Job Type: 100%

Pay: CHF1,500.00 - CHF2,000.00 per month
