Your ’day to day’

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer you will be responsible for the development and the drive of a continuous improvement’s culture within the Testing Laboratory & Governance (T&LG) teams. You will have to empower, engage, and involve the entire department with the standardization of processes, implementation of metrics and best practices in order to deliver a robust and cost-effective end to end process.

More specifically, you will

  • Identify new process improvement opportunities in the area of quality, cost and performance and point out areas requiring improvement using Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Provide expertise in target setting for the T&LG, ensuring full alignment between departmental objective and functional/global goals.
  • Develop and drive the T&LG internal productivity process by building up the pipeline of initiatives, monitoring the Key Performance Indicators of the teams and reporting to the Laboratory employee the progress against plan on a regular basis.
  • Lead the T&LG productivity committee to present the pipeline of initiative, report the effective productivity and cost saving in order for the management to secure the right amount of resources to support the initiative and to track progress and achievement.
  • Involve and engage staff during training, ensuring that they develop the skills and mindset to become productivity and continuous improvement experts in their areas in order for them to implement and sustain improvements.

  • Who we’re looking for

  • Seasoned experience in the area of Operational Excellence (OPEX) and continuous improvement coupled with a University Degree.
  • Sound expertise in Lean tools and methodology applied to operating sites such as laboratory.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a must, at least green belt and black belt would be preferred.
  • Past experience in leading cross-functional project and teams coupled with confirmed experience in managing financial data and reporting.
  • Strong analytics capabilities (Power BI or other analytics tools is an asset).
  • Fast learner, effective communicator, and solid interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in French both oral and written. English would be an asset.
