Job DescriptionAs part of the Global COO Business Risk Management (BRM) team, the Global IT BRM will coordinate the First Line of Defence risk framework for IT area on a global basis, ensuring that a comprehensive and effective IT internal control system (ICS) is designed, implemented and operated across the Group.The Candidate Will Collaborate Closely With IT Departments At Head Office And Local Level, As Well As With The Local COO BRMs And The Second Line Of Defence, To Carry Out The Following Activities
  • identify key IT processes and associated risks and define First Line of Defence controls to mitigate them (so called “Internal Control Blueprint”);
  • support COO management to review the IT Internal Control framework, ensuring consistent implementation across the Group;
  • monitor and report IT controls effectiveness and perform independent reviews on a sample basis;
  • coordinate the semi-annual control certification and sign-off process and the yearly Risk Control Self-Assessment (“RCSA”) at global level for the IT function, consolidating inputs from local COO BRMs;
  • escalate material incidents and/or control failures;
  • proactively support IT teams to analyse root causes of incidents and issues and to identify corrective measures;
  • act as a central interface for IT between the COO First Line of Defence and the Second Line of Defence.
Skills And Experience
  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, or technical fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in banking IT platforms, operational processes and IT controls
  • Project management experience in the Banking industry, or equivalent background in a management consulting firm
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Fluency in English. Italian a real added-value.
  • Self-motivated, organised, able to work under pressure and to manage priorities in a rapidly evolving context
