As an interface with the relevant functions the role consists of supporting and advising the business on financial matters during our main processes: reporting, forecast and budgetingThis is a global role relevant for the whole company across all Divisions, BU’s, functions and sites.Key ResponsibilitiesDivision Holding Controller
  • Presenting financial performance, full year forecasts and budget variances including understanding financial opportunities and risk
  • Leading and understanding the Target process and results with the different Business Unit within Lonza Holding
  • Understanding and analyzing the allocation process from Global Services to the Divisions
  • Supporting ad-hoc analysis
Function Controller
  • Understanding the cost drivers of the Corporate Functions and provide insight to the non-finance members
  • Provide financial advice and support to decision making: advise on costs, consulting spending, FTEs, financial planning and reporting
  • Build partnerships and strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams
  • Lead review during Outlook and Target planning cycles
Controlling – Global Support
  • Preparing and analyzing Overhead Cost consolidation (Sales, Marketing, Admin, R&D) for Lonza Group
  • Supporting Function Controllers in reporting and forecasting processes
  • Supporting and designing new ideas about reporting and analysis (new dashboard / new reports)
Key Requirements
  • Degree in a Finance related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance related functions. At least 2 years of experience in international roles exposed to senior management
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively in order to explain financial concepts to non-finance people
  • Solid organizational, planning, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and general computer skills particularly with accounting systems (SAP preferred) and reporting (BW)
  • Fluent in English
