About The Team

We are excited to invite applicants to join the Business Partner team of Corporate Partnerships, to champion and implement our ambitious partner strategy for the tech industry. The mandate of the team is to apply a key account management approach, to form a global partner strategy across all of Swiss Re Business Units for ’Big Tech’-companies such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon and many more. The challenge ahead is nothing less than crafting the future of Swiss Re. In tandem with different teams across the Group, Corporate Partnerships builds new digital markets embedded into digital ecosystems aimed to transform Swiss Re’s business model towards a data-driven risk knowledge company.

As part of the newly formed Corporate Partnerships team, we seek creative thinkers with a focus on execution to form our small, high performing team of client managers. Together you will provide critical support to Lead Business Partners (LBPs) of the technology sector on the full spectrum of Swiss Re products and solutions. About The Role

As a direct report to the two Lead Business Partners in Tech, your remit will include profitable and growth-oriented business origination and active portfolio management across a couple of selected corporates. You will contribute to top quality client planning, strategy definition, deal origination and negotiation, and handle communications with relevant stakeholders. You will join a new team, coordinating support to deliver excellent value to our clients. We therefore seek agile leaders who can develop at pace, mentor and upskill to support a range of varied accountabilities to deliver our new, exciting plans for Corporate Partnerships.

Continuous focus on our clients
  • You will partner to support LBPs in all elements of client management including participation and support at some C-Suite and top-level client negotiations.
  • You will advise clients across the range of Swiss Re products and solutions. We’ll look to you to facilitate open communication and exchange of creative ideas through proactive group wide engagement across our internal networks and corporate customers.
  • You will contribute to the preparation of customized analysis and pitches, understanding client priorities, patterns and interests.
  • Drive own partner initiatives
Successfully grow our business
  • You will take forward business opportunities that promote the development of innovative products and solutions across your client area.
  • You will steer and coordinate marketing activities and define the financial plan.
  • We look to you to review performance results and metrics for your client segment/s, providing recommendations and solutions to LBPs to realign our strategy where needed.
  • You will support LBPs harness all Swiss Re Group assets to attract future business through successful corporate partnerships.
About You
  • You should have 5+ years working experience, ideally within (re)insurance, insuretech or technology
  • You are curious, open-minded, inclusive and hardworking to explore and drive business ideas
  • You may have experience as a successful sales leader and will be a partnership builder who delivers results with clients and colleagues through significant relationships between customers and Swiss Re
  • You have experience as project manager
  • You are excellent at listening and connecting needs
  • You can translate and simplify data analysis to create meaning
  • You have excellent PowerPoint skills and are a great storyteller, knowing how to communicate to senior management and clients in a structured, concise and crisp manner
  • You model our Swiss Re Leadership Imperatives and are confident developing and maintaining positive connections across functional areas [add link for external version]
  • With strong interpersonal skills, including a good command of English, you are a change agent who encourages others and promotes team work
  • Self-aware, you have established trust through open, clear communication and empower others through effective knowledge sharing
  • You are not fazed by ambiguity and able to adapt at pace in changing environments
  • University degree/equivalent preferred but not crucial
