As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).Your Responsibilities
  • Within the Airworthiness team, coordination and management of the Design Assurance System DAS/DOA establishment and maintenance
  • Verify and maintain the implementation of and compliance with the Part 21 requirements within Kopter Design Organisation
  • Coordinate and track DOA status, changes, resolution of EASA findings and open actions in front of EASA DOA Team Leader
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, Customer Support for continuous improvement of processes and procedures
  • Manage the preparation of the DAS change requests, prepare DAS change classification, organize the DAS change board, record and follow-up of DAS change decisions
  • Engineering focal point for QMS deployment
  • Identify process and regulation training needs within the engineering community
  • Monitor the organizational requirements of foreign authorities related to airworthiness and certification (e.g. 14 CFR Part 21) to support TC validation projects
Your qualifications & experience
  • Must hold an Engineering degree or a proven record in comparable function
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in the aviation industry
  • Has a sound knowledge about DOH/DAS/QMS
  • Experience in Part 21 (Sub parts A,B,D,E,J,H,I,K,P) and knowledge of CS-27 requirements
  • Basic Project Management knowledge
  • Ability to deal with different systems/disciplines, documentation, databases, and entities in parallel
  • Ability to work in a complex and dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
