As a Commercial Manager, you will support the management of the Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games commercial programmes.

Main responsibilities
Commercial Oversight and Support to the Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (OCOG) and Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (YOGOC)
  • Work with OCOG and YOGOC and internal relevant IOC Departments and IOC TMS functions to ensure the continuity and compatibility of their respective commercial programmes within the Olympic Marketing framework, in particular in relation to the TOP Programme.
  • Oversee the review and approval by IOC TMS of the commercial programme of each OCOG and YOGOC including the commercial plan, sponsorship timeline, category releases, and sponsorship agreements in collaboration with the relevant IOC TMS functions.
  • Work in collaboration with the IOC TMS Partnership Marketing team for the integration of the key aspects of each Account Management Plan for each TOP Partner into the OCOG and YOGOC education activities and ensuring TOP Partner rights and objectives are represented within the OCOG and YOGOC commercial departments.
  • Work with other members of the Olympic Movement (National Olympic Committees, International Sport Federations, Olympic Broadcasting Services, Olympic Channel Services) in relation to their commercial presence at the Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games.
  • Oversee transfer of knowledge from Games to Games.
  • Support the development of OCOG and YOGOC legacy and asset disposal plans.
  • Support the Deputy Managing Director, Head of Games Commercial integration in issue resolution.
Support the IOC Rights Prevention and Protection Programme
  • In collaboration with the IOC Legal Department, support IOC TMS rights protection efforts, as they relate to OCOG, YOGOC and TOP Partners, specifically ensuring that TOP Partner rights are preserved through ambush marketing protection and prevention programmes.
  • Support the OCOG and YOGOC in their development and implementation of comprehensive right protection programmes, including pre-Games, Games time and post-Games’ efforts such as ambush marketing prevention and protection, outdoor advertising programmes and clean venue delivery.
Coordinate the OCOG /YOGOC Marketing Education Programme
  • Support the design of the education model for the OCOG and YOGOC and the corresponding milestones.
  • Coordinate the organisation of workshops, including agenda and attendees with the relevant OCOG and YOGOC.
  • Ensure the participation and readiness of relevant IOC TMS functions.
  • Ensure the archiving of the education materials throughout the lifecycle of the OCOG / YOGOC.

Our requirements
  • University degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a commercial and international environment, interacting with and presenting to people from various backgrounds, culture, languages and management levels.
  • Project management experience.
  • Excellent drafting skills.
  • English or French fluency, with excellent writing and speaking of the other language.
  • Excellent command of the corporate tools and ability to follow the internal user rules (Outlook, etc.).
  • Technical, organisational and personal competences
