Job Description:
Ferring+You
In this role you will be responsible for designing and configuring recipes within the Rockwell PharmaSuite MES platform for Swiss manufacturing plant in St-Prex and you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate manufacturing processes into system-specific recipes to ensure efficient and compliant execution on the shop floor.
Your day at Ferring
Responsibilities for the role includes:
  • Recipe Design and Configuration: Design, develop, and configure MES recipes within the Rockwell PharmaSuite platform based on the defined manufacturing processes and specifications
  • Process Mapping: Collaborate with process engineers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders to understand and document manufacturing processes, including equipment, materials, and critical parameters
  • Recipe Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and efficiency improvement through recipe design and configuration
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure that the designed MES recipes comply with relevant regulatory requirements, such as FDA regulations (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11), GMP guidelines, and industry best practices
  • Documentation: Create detailed documentation, including functional specifications, design specifications, and user manuals, for the MES recipes
  • Integration and Testing: Collaborate with the system integration team to validate and test the recipes in the integrated MES environment, ensuring seamless integration with other systems and interfaces
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to manufacturing and engineering teams during recipe execution and system-related issues
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes related to MES systems, and propose continuous improvement initiatives for recipe design and system performance
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in recipe design and configuration

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in MES recipe design and configuration, preferably within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry. Experience with Rockwell PharmaSuite MES platform is highly desirable
  • MES System Knowledge: Understanding of MES systems, specifically Rockwell PharmaSuite, including recipe design, configuration, and integration with other manufacturing systems
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with regulatory requirements applicable to the pharmaceutical industry, such as FDA regulations (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11) and GMP guidelines
  • Process Understanding: Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and critical process parameters within the pharmaceutical or life sciences domain.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex manufacturing processes, identify process optimization opportunities, and translate them into effective MES recipes, Strong interest for IT technologies
  • Documentation and Communication: Excellent documentation skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical information to cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address technical issues and provide timely resolutions
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with process engineers, manufacturing teams, and IT professionals
