US CB & Client Tax - Senior Compliance Officer

Join us in a challenging and varied role as Compliance Officer in the US CB & Client Tax Compliance Testing Team. You conduct Compliance Reviews, where you ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, firm policies and control procedures for the global US CB & Client Tax Compliance Programs in Credit Suisse’s various global business locations. Your responsibilities include the scoping and determination of the methodology of the reviews and identification of potential issues, as well as ensuring appropriate remediation to mitigate the risk. The role offers the opportunity to spearhead the development of business and compliance controls in Switzerland and support these efforts in the bank’s other international location. The role offers the chance to communicate review results, and other relevant metrics, to senior management in Compliance, Legal, Business, as applicable and to build a professional network.

• You are a team player who contributes to the team’s success by providing high quality deliverables within the given timeframe.
• A university degree in an area related to Law, Finance, Compliance, or an equivalent education
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in Compliance, Regulatory, Audit, or Consulting/Advisory experience, ideally gathered within a bank, law firm or financial services/consulting firm
• Exposure to compliance testing and/or to US Cross Border, general cross border, FATCA/AEI or client tax compliance matters is a distinct benefit
• You communicate in English on a business proficiency level; German is highly desired; other languages (particularly French, Italian, Spanish) would be an asset
• You demonstrate strong analytical skills with focus on vigilance and critical issues and a keen understanding of identifying risks
• You are a dedicated problem solver with attention to detail and a can-do attitude
