We encourage personal development and actively support creative team work, leadership and responsibility.Job DescriptionAs Deputy Head Legal, Vice-Director, you will be part of the Legal Department, reporting directly to the Head Legal.Your Tasks Will Typically Be The Following
  • Supervise, lead and train one of the Legal team currently composed of 8 people specialised in different fields of banking and financial markets law, in particular in charge of:
    • managing litigations;
    • reviewing, negotiating and drafting contracts;
    • analysing the legal impacts of new projects of the Bank.
  • Help employees to develop and make the most of their competences in order to fulfil the mission of the Legal Department;
  • Provide support to your team in solving complex issues;
  • Propose improvements of the processes and procedures in place;
  • Provide legal support and advice to other departments of the Bank as well as to the Management in the field of banking law, corporate law and contracts;
  • Participate in the drafting and review of reports to the Executive Management and to the Board of Directors;
Qualifications
  • Swiss qualified lawyer (bar exam and/or LL.M and/or CAS Compliance in Financial Services being an asset)
  • At least 5-7 years of experience as manager in a Legal department of a Bank, a business law firm or an audit firm with a proven track record in corporate and banking law as well as a good knowledge of financial products
  • Perfect command of English and French, German being an asset,
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent drafting & negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proactivity, adaptability and solution-oriented
  • Ability to prioritize and manage demanding workloads
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
