Job content
to complete its team of highly skilled IC design engineers. The group is active in ultra-low power ICs for short-distance wireless communication, next generation UWB Impulse Radio and mmWave radar solutions for ranging and localization applications.Your mission
You will work on high-performance developments for industrial customers as well as on longer-term applied Swiss and European research projects, in accordance with CSEM mission to bridge the gap between universities and industry.
Your Responsibilities
- Participate to the specification, design, verification, and validation in the lab of state-of-the-art digital baseband circuits implemented on ASICs and FPGAs
- Fine-tune the algorithms used to control the radio and process baseband signals
- Work with international customers, international universities, and research institutes
- Innovate, think out of the box, challenge yourself
Know-how
- Ms or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering (electronics, microelectronics, microtechnologies)
- A few years’ experience in the design of CMOS digital or mixed-signal circuits, preferably with an emphasis on low-power
- Good grasp of RTL design techniques and high-level modelling/simulation
- Demonstrated competences in digital signal processing (filters, interpolators, FFTs, CORDIC, PID controllers) and communication systems (modulation schemes, wireless modem architectures)
- Ability to handle complex verification tasks
- Experienced with CAD tools (Cadence, Mentor, Matlab, etc.). Exposition to the entire digital flow (including the backend) is a plus
- Proficient in English. French and/or German a plus
- Out of the box thinking and innovative mindset
- Strong communication skills
- Open-minded attitude and curiosity
- Well-developed team spirit while being able to work autonomously
