Position

The Communication and Health Research Group at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Lugano, Switzerland, invites applications for admission for doctoral study leading to a Ph.D. in health communications. The responsibilities of the fully funded position will be primarily to support the research project “The effects of medical trust on antibiotics adherence in primary care settings: A dyadic mixed-method approach” which is funded by the Swiss National Foundation.

Applicants should hold a master degree in psychology, communication, sociology or related disciplines. Selection will be based primarily on potential for excellence in health communication research of international stature.

The University

The university – Università della Svizzera italiana – is the major university in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. However, the graduate’s programs are taught in English as is the case with most colloquia. Applicants should be Italian mother-tongue and fluent in English.
