Electrical Engineer / Design of electrical Drives

In this role you are one of the technical experts for the electrical machines as part of a team covering the full scope of the machine development. You will have the opportunity to define the electrical auxiliary components (cooling system, brake, wiring, sensor) and implement the interfaces to inverter, control and brake for the machines, working closely with the electrical and mechanical motor designer and the inverter specialists

Aufgaben

• Defining insulation requirements and material, wiring requirements and final test procedures
• Support design of electrical motors and definition of architectures and technologies for electrical machines
• Ensuring quality of implemented solution by performing simulations, cost analysis, cross functional design reviews and possible testing support.
• Performing root-cause analysis for findings in collaboration with R&D testing teams and/or field engineering
• Acting as the interface to notified bodies for machine certification and maintenance of certificates
  

Qualifikation

• Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical engineering
• At least three years of experience in electrical engineering and/or electrical machine design
• Knowledge of materials used in electrical motors and different manufacturing methods
• Familiarity with the machine directive
• Working proficiency in English, knowledge in German is a plus
