Proclinical are recruiting an Embedded C/ C++ Developer for a biotech establishment. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in Zurich. The client is focused on developing robots that safely and effectively accomplish challenging tasks.


Responsibilities:

  • Produce release documentation, which involves release notes and upgrade processes.
  • Design schematics and PCBs incorporating specialised hardware devices, for example: camera, IMUs, and any other sensors.
  • Assist with the testing and validation of our products such as EMC, vibration, dust, etc.
  • Create modern, high-quality Python, C and C++ code and contribute to code reviews and software design conversations.
  • Work with a cross-functional engineering team for integrating your solutions into products.
  • Other duties may be assigned to this role.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Educated to a degree level in a computer science, electrical engineering or similar work experience.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in a pertinent area.
  • Familiarity with Python, C and/or C++.
  • Past involvement in using Git and Linux as well as developing Linux device drivers and/or working on the kernel would be beneficial.
  • Acquaintance with designing electronics such as schematics and PCB.
  • Comprehension of standard protocols such as 12C and SPI.
  • Previous involvement in using Ethernet, PCIe and MIPI would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with camera chips and IMUs would be beneficial for the role.
  • A can-do outlook with the capacity to assume ownership within fields of interest.
  • Works well in a team and in a dynamic start-up setting.
