Position Summary

As an Intern in Environmental Sustainability reporting, you will have the opportunity to monitor and compile data on key sustainability metrics, manage the delivery of environmental performance reports, contribute to the development of our annual Corporate Responsibility report, analyze emerging frameworks for reporting, conduct gap analysis and competitive peer analyses, propose creative ideas for performance improvement, and provide valuable analytical and technical support to our Engineering & Environmental Team. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in managing our environmental reporting system and assisting with internal website updates and document management. A Day in the Life of an Intern in Environmental Sustainability reporting
  • Monitor, track, and compile data of key sustainability / environmental metrics including for energy, water, waste, greenhouse gas emissions; data used for both internal and external reporting. Manage the delivery of best practice environmental performance reports
  • Assist with development of the annual Corporate Responsibility report and responses to other initiatives including annual Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) index, SASB, CDP and other reporting frameworks including assisting with assurance of data. Review technical guidance to ensure reporting is compliant
  • Analyze emerging frameworks for inclusion in reporting program
  • Gap analysis between current year’s and previous year’s performance as well as competitive peer analyses
  • Research/brainstorm and propose creative ideas for performance improvement
  • Manage the environmental reporting system and undertake selected administration functions
  • Provide analytical and technical support to the Engineering & Environmental Team as required
  • Assist with internal website updates and document management

What Will Make You Successful
  • Enrolled in an engineering or environmental science studies
  • Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and time management skills with a desire to learn fast and deliver excellence
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent proficiency in the use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint and data management approaches
  • Fluent in English
