Engineer Engine Control Software

Responsibilities

This is an opportunity to work on exciting and game changing technology, with a positive impact on a global scale. You will be working in a dynamic team, closely with experts in engine control software, electronics, combustion performance, mechanics and fluid dynamic, for medium and large diesel and gas marine engines.

  • Provide ideas on how to improve the product, its diagnostic and control strategies
  • Full V-model software lifecycle
  • Requirements analysis, specification, high and low-level software design work
  • Definition of software components and architecture according to requirements
  • Control software implementation, verification, troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Develop, perform and document test methods for control software. Regression testing
  • Take ownership of software and hardware integration in the product, including the processes and procedures necessary for consistent success and continuous improvement, to ensure adequate quality
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers
  • Good communicator on detailed technical level but also to present overall results to high management
  • Been an effective team player, open and cooperative, in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment

Requirements

  • MSc (Engineering) or equivalent
  • Experience in automation & controls, and embedded software engineering (3 years or more)
  • especially valuable when acquired for combustion engine
  • Experience in developing embedded real-time applications, in distributed architecture (2 years or more)
  • Experience software design and implementation using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow, Simulink Test (2 years or more)
  • Experience in hardware in the loop testing (2 years or more)
