JOB PURPOSE

The Regional Finance Manager provides financial leadership and management for the Europe region, drives innovation in business processes and ensures that effective financial information flows and communication channels are maintained all times. S/he is responsible for building effective relationships between the HQ and more than 15 local entities spread across Europe to ensure alignment of processes, goals, and the effective delegation and escalation of actions items to the relevant finance HQ functions.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Oversee and coordinate financial and business analysis in coordination with the local finance representatives;

• Oversee alignment, guidance and coordination on a wide range of aspects related to budgeting and reporting initiated at central level.

• Supervise and support regional Financial Planning and Analysis activities and assess financial statements of local entities;

• Support Corporate Treasury and Credit Control in identifying areas and processes for improvement of working capital;

• Analyze trends to facilitate effective decision making and to assess effective achievement of financial targets;

• Identify and drive opportunities to increase visibility for cost trends, with consideration of cost optimization across global functions;

• Assess risks associated to tax, compliance, regulatory and market economic perspective;

• Review local finance organization structures and local processes with the objective of providing efficiencies and effective improvements;

• Engage with multiple business functions to support specific business analysis;

• Regular communication with and ad-hoc visits to the countries to ensure continuous dialogue throughout the year.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor and/or Master’s in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration. Professional Accounting qualifications (e.g. CIMA, ACCA) are a plus;

• Fluent in English and any other European language will be considered as a plus;

• Minimum7 years finance experience, with strong budgeting and planning focus;

• Advanced skills in MS Office applications and use of ERP and Corporate Performance Management (CPM) systems. SAP and Tagetik are a plus;

• Proficiency in managing high volumes of data with complexity;

• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment;

• Team player and excellent communicator;

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
