Job Summary:

When you join team Caterpillar as an Export Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership to the machine order management process. The role is expected to provide support for all machine order management systems, including CMOPS, Mach1, Cat Configurator and the new Modern Order management system. The position will work closely with business partners in Product groups, Industries, IT, tax, accounting, account coordinators and transportation as an SME for the order management process. This role participates in mentoring, consulting, SAP deployments, and training for the order management systems. The position will take a lead role in process re-engineering with an acute focus on LEAN.

What you will do:

  • Provide leadership to the EAME order management team.
  • Provide leadership to Machine ordering system team.
  • Leverage Lean thinking & methodologies.
  • Be data driven.
  • Translate business requirements into process requirements.
  • Be a team player.
  • Conduct change management activities, including training, documentation, and roles & responsibility definition.
  • Always ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Will work in an international environment.
  • Create visual models & workflow diagrams of business processes & systems.
  • Always understand the state of the business.
  • Set priorities and establish a work plan to complete broadly defined assignments and achieve desired results.

What you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, or Marketing.
  • 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in roles related to sales, marketing, or business development that includes Order Management, Experience designing and leading business processes, and Project management.
  • 2+ years project management experience, Certified Black Belt.
  • Mach1/EOMP/SAP user experience.
  • Prior successful experience in global process transformation.
  • Successful application of LEAN principles.
  • Good understanding and application of Data analytics.
  • Fluent in English and French.

  • MBA or Master’ s degree.
  • Understanding of the Caterpillar organization, products, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience in logistics, import/ export.
  • Ability to adapt to multiple cultures and countries.
  • Any other European language.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to simplify complex information and develop clear communications and presentation materials to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects of different sizes.

Additional Information:

This position may require 20% travel.
