We are looking for a highly motivated Factory Supply Chain Manager to lead our Supply Chain team in the Center of Excellence for Traction Transformers in Geneva, Switzerland. As part of the international transformer Supply Chain team, you will be responsible to translate the factory requirements towards service level agreements with suppliers. You will develop and maintain successful relationships with suppliers and internal colleagues from supply chain or other functions. Your responsibilities
  • Support and implement the sourcing strategy in the factory in line with Business Line/Hub requirements
  • Manage local or Hub allocated other direct spend (non-category managed) and translate factory requirements into Service level agreements with suppliers
  • As part of the factory SEOP (Sales Engineering Operating Planning process) review regularly the balance of demand vs supply for critical materials
  • Fully accountable for price and Terms & Conditions control throughout the value chain
  • Ensure best potential project costing within tender stage
  • Conduct Supplier Performance Evaluations (SPE) for the Hub identified suppliers and for non category managed selected suppliers
  • Ensure HR that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed
  • Guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates
  • Define and maintain the processes within the interfaces to other departments
  • Measure gaps and investigate on root causes and take adequate corrective/preventive measures
Your background
  • Several years of experience in Supply Chain or a leader of cross-functional teams in the industrial business environment, in best case in transformer industry
  • Extraordinary skills in project and process management (incl. preparation of analytics)
  • Strong self-organization, -structuring and -prioritization
  • Assertiveness and available to lead and motivate a team of direct and dotted line reports (incl. remote)
  • Strong skills in change management
  • Availability to work within a team
  • Fluent English and French necessary for communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong skills in negotiating individual and framework contracts
  • Knowledge of the SAP module MM; experience in the module SD is an advantage
  • Experience in Transformer and Traction business would be an advantage
