Job DescriptionFINANCE ANALYST BUSINESS UNIT CONTROLLERGreat opportunity in our plant controlling team in Schaffhausen that supports a site with production turnover to serve more than 30BN of trades sales annually, one of the major site in the Janssen Supply Chain network. The controlling team consists of 6 team members locally in Schaffhausen. The financial analyst will be responsible for the business units Make Asset Management, Facilities and Environment, Health, Sustainability and Safety. In that job, the analyst will steer the financial support for major investments as the plant transforms into a launch and growth site that aims to achieve its operational excellence and sustainability targets. MAIN TASKS: Assume financial ownership for the business unit MAM, Facilities and EHS&S on site Schaffhausen and act as business partner. Participate actively in divisional staff meetings and guide the business through planning and actual reporting cycles. The business partnering aspect includes planning, measuring, and shaping the functions towards corrective actions to reach the business unit head-counts, spend and cost improvement targets. The analyst supports with financial guidance during the business plan and update cycles and triggers discussion for opportunities of cost actions and reports those for the business units in the cost improvement program. Furthermore, he is responsible for the financial training of the business partners. Additionally, the analyst supports its business units in the capital appropriation request process. The controller validates the business case, and ensures all financial aspects are taken into consideration during planning and implementation of decisions / projects. The analyst assumes subject matter expert role for the full site for cost improvement projects (CIP) and the relationship to the BEX / JJPS teams and the capital planning process. In the latter, the analyst is planning the depreciation for all budget cycles and long-range financial plan (LRFP). The analyst reviews also proper planning and reporting for appropriation expenses, partners with the project management group from MAM and performs compliance controls on capital actuals vs budget reviews.Job Qualifications
  • University/Bachelors’ Degree or Equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • 1-3 year of working experience in finance
  • Strong team player: ability to work with teams in a virtual environment to meet the future needs of the business
  • Highly computer literate, experience with ERP systems and Microsoft packages
  • Experience with Analytics/Business Intelligence tools an advantage (e.g. Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau etc.)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting
  • Critical sense of urgency and able to take appropriate action
  • Ability to bring clarity to complex business issues and proven success in managing complex projects & processes
  • German and high confidence in English
