• Ensure that EMEA Accounting is performing all Distribution and Depot activities as stated in company procedures, financial close schedules, and in accordance with US GAAP, SOX, and statutory laws.
• Analytical review of the monthly financial results of Switzerland and Germany sites for all Distribution, Freight and Depot activities with regards to quality and compliance of those results and processes
• Technical accounting research of sophisticated issues to ensure accurate accounting treatment and compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and statutory regulations for all Distribution, Freight and Depot activities.
• Actively support the Finance and Accounting team during month-ends on sophisticated accounting treatments as defined in the close schedules and check lists to ensure accuracy, timeliness, consistency, and completeness of the financial results.
• Constantly review and improve accounting activities & internal controls that are in adherence with SOX, US GAAP and statutory laws within Germany and Switzerland, ensuring compliance.
• Support all internal and external audits.
• Identify and drive operational improvement initiatives to ensure enough support for changing business dynamics.
• Provide advice and mentorship to business on all finance related matters, ensuring consistency and compliance with Finance policies and standards.
• Ad-Hoc: Perform other duties as assigned.

Your qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• MBA and/or Certified Public Accountant a plus
• Experience in multifaceted Finance roles
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage by influence across a global organization.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Engaged, process-driven leader, who values frequent interactions and dialog with subordinates, peers, and the company’s leadership team.
• High level of energy; can bring a passion to excel. Ability to energize and influence a wide spectrum of people, including senior financial and operational professionals.
