For one of our clients in the banking industry we are currently looking for a Financial Analyst

Start date: November 2021
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Location: Zurich (60% onsite, 40% remote from within Switzerland)

About the project

The candidate will work across two departments who are currently responsible for c40 legacy wash accounts. The accounts contain old transactions that need understanding. Knowledge of the accounts and balances have been lost over the past couple of years. The reconciliation processes for all accounts have to be established and documented according to the Account Type Reconciliation Standards.

The candidate will need to review the historical postings and then document the data sources and the monthly processes so that at any stage postings and reconciliation can take place without relying on institutional knowledge. This role is to ensure that any integrity checks over the Account Ownership regarding sign-offs, SOX documentation and tests of key controls will be successful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and clean-up wash-accounts regarding Lease and Facility Management income/expenses
  • Establish reconciliation processes according to the bank accounting standards
  • Implement and document the reconciliation processes.
Essentials Skills and Qualifications
  • 5-6 years of experience on similar role – strong accountant expertise
  • Accounting expertise
  • Knowledge in Real Estate (Lease) accounting – strongly preferable
  • Able to share a particular pleasure in investigation (accounting related)
  • Good language skills (German and English)
  • Hands-on, straightforward manner
