An Academic Associate UAS “Post-doc” in Data Sciences
12-month fixed-term contract, renewable

Activity Rate: 80-100 %

In a dynamic environment, in direct contact with economic circles, in particular with start-ups and SMEs in
cybersecurity, we offer you a position allowing you to:
  • To develop skills in all activities related to research
  • Demonstrate autonomy and initiative in a varied activity

Mission:
• Work as a senior member in the project "Code vulnerability prediction based on open source software

dependency network"
  • Help develop the portfolio of large-scale data science projects in the areas of software application security

and open source software in general, according to the axes of excellence of the information systems
research:
o Machine learning (e.g., predictive and generative models, graph networks, etc.)
o Big Data analytics (e.g., graph databases, Elasticsearch, Spark/Hadoop, etc.)

  • Help develop projects on how to use AI in blockchain networks to optimize a new data sharing paradigm
  • Interpret research results, write reports and participate in scientific publications
  • Under the supervision of the professor, prepare requests for external funding (CTI, FNRS and/or other

public or private funds) for carrying out research and/or providing services


Profile:
• PhD in computer science, physics or mathematics
  • Strong experience in applying AI to practical and comprehensive technological solutions
  • Experience of publications in computer science and ML conferences (e.g. ICML)
  • Deep experience in ML, Deep learning, Python/Java
  • Knowledge of algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles and best practice models, and
experience with REST API development
  • Ability to integrate into a team
  • Flexibility, autonomy and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English

Characteristics of de position:
• The function class for the position of scientific or artistic collaborator HES is a class 15 - annuity 0, for

holders of a Bachelor’s degree, and a class 15 - annuity 4, for holders of a Master’s degree or with a higher
qualification
