You are responsible as Network Operation Engineer to support different services/products (infrastructure) from WAN Connectivity to Blue TV and ensure the 2nd and partly 3rd level assurance operation. This you are always developing and creating a unique customer experience.

  • Hybrid office (dynamic home office possible up to three days a week)

The team Our dynamic team consists of ten experienced and accomplished employees based in Ittigen, Olten and Lausanne. We work in an agile organization and value flexibility and teamwork. Communication, knowledge sharing and continuous learning are crucial for our success. As part of your operational tasks, you solve complex problems in a timely manner and provide feedback to customers and stakeholders.

The project The B2B ICT Assurance "Scuderia" ensures that wholesale, partner and business customers can be supported end-to-end regardless of the business unit, for the best customer experience with only one pit stop (support). Together with customers and IT partners, you will search for solutions in case of malfunctions, working closely with downstream departments and keeping up to date with our services. Thanks to you, we provide our customers with fast and effective solutions to their problems.

Your profile

  • Completed education in the field of computer science, telematics or electronics (EFZ, HF) or several years of professional experience in complex IT environments with priority on networks.
  • Expertise in access network technologies OSI, TCP/IP - Layer 1 and 2: Fiber, VDSL, Ethernet, PPP, WDM, SDH or SD-WAN
  • Knowledge with routing and switching protocols: IPv4/6, IGMPv2/3, MPLS, DHCP, L2TP or QoS
  • Good knowledge with LAN/WAN enviroments and certified knowledge in network engineering e.g. CCNA, Compita+ etc.
  • Good oral and written English and at least one national language French or German fluent.
  • Willingness to work in an agile environment and to be on-call regularly
  • You enjoy communicating with business customers, internal teams and Swisscom partners
  • You are a flexible and team-oriented personality who thrives on feedback and is willing to continuously learn and share experiences.
  • Willing to ensure a stable operation. This includes work such as error analysis, troubleshooting, testing and technical documentation
