Your mission:

To reinforce the Synechron Switzerland team, we are looking for a Data Engineerto join the Qunatitative Equities Strategies team. Our mission is for one of our clients, a very well-established Private Bank in Geneva, in the midst of a digital transformation.

The team consists of nine professionals responsible for managing both long-only and long-short equity strategies. The team leverages a broad set of skills covering quantitative analysis, fundamental analysis and IT expertise so that they can deliver attractive, risk-adjusted returns efficiently to their clients.

Your responsibilities:

• You will be responsible fordesigning and implementing data pipeline;
• You will be actively contributing to the run of the product(troubleshooting, monitoring optimization, dealing with user requests);
• You are going to evaluate data sourceswith high value add for the investment;
• You will be creating visualization dashboards and software prototypes;
• You will be contributing on web app design and implementation.

Your profile and your skills:

• You justify a bachelors degree from EPFL or equivalent;
• You possess at least 3 years of experience in computer science
• You have a good knowledge of Python;
• You are experienced in data pipelining and all related technologies;
• You justify experience with relational database programming(SQL);
• You have professional knowledge of data visualization tools and languages (Tableau, D3.js, JavaScript, …);
• You have knowledge of and you are interested in thefinance industry;
• You are ateam player and comfortable working as part of a global team;
• You think “everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler”;
• You speak English and French;
• You area resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
