As a Senior Specialist Applied Data Analytics, you will join a diverse team of researchers developing nutritional solutions across health benefit areas. You will drive data analyses using preclinical, clinical, and real-world studies, contribute to the discovery of biomarkers and generate hypotheses to support our research & innovation pipeline.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Specialist Applied Data Analytics


  • Generate data-driven hypotheses and lead research initiatives that grow the impact of data analytics on our R&D Nutrition & Health portfolio at Nestlé
  • Develop and apply computational methods to analyze high-throughput biological data, including transcriptomics and metabolomics, interpret data and create compelling graphical visualizations
  • Work closely with junior and senior data scientists and subject matter experts on study design, data collection, analytics and interpretation of preclinical and clinical data
  • Lead internal and external collaborations to expand the use of data science applications
  • Influence stakeholders to support business translation in accordance with strategic priorities


What will make you successful


  • Msc or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics or Computational Biology
  • At least 8-10 years of work experience – ideally as postgraduate work
  • Track record of peer-reviewed publications based on analytics of biological data
  • Well versed in R and/or Python & excellence in best practices for reproducible data science
  • A strong translational mindset to strategically apply data analytics for the development of nutritional solutions across health benefits
  • Team oriented, entrepreneurial spirit and outstanding communication skills
  • Good understanding of machine learning models and their applications to health data
  • Fluency in English
