Roche’s People & Culture organization contains six chapters, one of which is People & Organizational Growth. The P&OG Chapter enables dynamic organizations, leaders who unlock possibilities, and self authoring growth for all. We do this by focusing on organization design and development, leadership development, people development and diversity and inclusion. P&OG is organized in six Areas of Practice and four Communities. The P&OG Consulting Area of Practice provides expertise and partnership to support large-scale and complex change and transformation across Roche. All consultants will sit in one of four practice areas -- Commercial, Ops & Quality, R&D / New Businesses, and Partnering Functions. All Consultants work across the enterprise to enable execution and achievement of Roche’s 2030 Ambitions.


Position Summary

As a
P&OG Global Consulting Partner, you will be a member of one of the four consulting practice areas -- Commercial, Ops & Quality, R&D / New Businesses, and Partnering Functions. You will work across all parts of the Roche enterprise, partnering with BPs, other P&OG consultants, and key business leaders to create and enable large-scale and complex change and transformation in service of the Roche 2030 Ambitions. You will design and deliver interventions with a combination of Organization Development (OD), Leadership Development (LD), People Development (PD), and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) expertise to improve individual, team, and organizational performance and increase business impact. You will work independently on interventions or participate in teams or squads to identify and deliver solutions to the business. Additionally, you will develop relationships and partner with colleagues outside of P&C such as those in transformation offices and other centers of excellence.


Key Activities

  • Maintain broad-based knowledge of Roche businesses and operations, seeking ways to bring together various parts of the business for greater collaboration, efficiency, and impact

  • Diagnose and systematically analyze the large and complex systems of your client organizations, including strategy, culture, leadership, capabilities, structures, processes, and networks

  • Provide strategic leadership in your partnership with BPs and business clients

  • Develop and execute consulting interventions for organization, team, and individual effectiveness

  • Utilize the consulting cycle to assess and effectively impact client organizations and live the P&OG operating model, ensuring that the P&OG design principles are met (Customer Centricity; Consistent Experience; Proactive & Prioritized Delivery; Designing Once; Flexibility for Adaptation; Belonging & Purpose)

  • Form, lead and participate in work product teams and / or squads as deemed necessary to deliver client interventions

  • Work flexibly across business units based on strategic priorities

  • Develop relationships and collaborate with business and transformation offices to support the achievement of the Roche 2030 Ambitions

  • Participate and contribute in the P&OG Communities of Practice of your choosing

  • Proactively share information related to your consulting work and client areas, helping P&OG and P&C sense the Roche system holistically and have broad understanding of business activities

  • Coach and mentor other consultants and P&OG colleagues as required to continuously build capability in the chapter, and similarly do so with P&C BPs with whom you work as well as colleagues and leaders in the business

  • Work closely with the P&OG Areas of Practice and other Chapters as needed, participating in global initiatives and enterprise projects

  • Role model Creative and VACC Leadership in all interactions


Qualifications & Experience

You have a Master degree or comparable qualification in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or a related field, and extensive and relevant consulting, organization change, and business transformation experience in a global organization of similar size and complexity. Your further qualifications are

  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in the design, delivery and facilitation of large-scale transformational change efforts and interventions in large, global organizations, including organization design, team effectiveness, coaching, cultural transformation, leadership effectiveness, and change management

  • Demonstrated ability to systematically analyze organizations, considering strategy, culture, leadership, capabilities, structures, processes, and networks

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop leaders and teams at the highest levels of an organization (including C-suite)

  • Demonstrated experience consulting on topics of leadership, people development, and diversity and inclusion

  • Significant global experience, working on global project and demonstrating a global mindset

  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills

  • Proven project and stakeholder management skills in a highly complex and matrix environment

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, and courage to push back and challenge the status quo

  • Formal (or informal) leadership experience

  • Knowledge of agile principles and methodologies, applied in an enterprise-wide context

  • Fluent English language skills are a must, other languages a plus
