Global Environmental Sustainability Manager - Your future position?

This role is flexible within Europe, with the limitation that it should be a main Givaudan site.

You will manage the definition and implementation master plan of the Environmental Sustainability strategy and program in the Supply Chain area globally and track the implementation success. You will need to collaborate with multiple levels of the organization and influence senior stakeholders in Procurement, Operations and Sustainability.

You will report to Global Head of Environmental Sustainability.

You will:

  • Manage the definition of the Environmental sustainability program and master plan to eliminate GHG emissions (Scope 3), Water and Waste management for Supply Chain
  • Own and drive the Sustainable Procurement – Scope 3 team and the Sustainable Operations-Supply Chain team drumbeats to track progress of master plan, manage risks, and report on progress to management
  • Be an essential conductor on environmental topics across all relevant areas in the company
  • Research and propose opportunities for improvement in managing GHG emissions scope 3, water and waste, based on collection and analysis of factual data, external benchmark, and best practices research
  • Own the supplier engagement programme on Climate and Water
  • Own the environmental data in the Supply Chain area, and the reporting against progress the area of environmental sustainability in Supply Chain
  • Be an essential contact at corporate level for CDP climate and water in the area of environmental sustainability in Supply Chain.
  • Own the regular communication updates for various stakeholder groups
  • Prepare, contribute to and validate environmental sustainability communications
  • Participate in events representing Givaudan

You?

  • Master’s degree
  • At least 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in Sustainability and/or Procurement
  • Experience working with procurement organization is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of corporate environmental sustainability (Science-Based targets, CDP Climate Change and Water Security, GHG Protocol, CEO Water Mandate,…)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Research skills and strong ability to problem-solving and decision-making
  • Influencing skills and ability to interact at multiple levels
  • Autonomous and comfortable with cross functional, matrix set-ups
  • Excellent project managementskills
  • Coordination, and facilitation skills
