Travel retail operates worldwide, focusing on 3 main regions – Europe, Asia-Pacific and Americas. We focus on beautiful specific travel retail exclusive products and packaging what the consumer are seeking for across the categories of fragrance, skincare and make-up with a clear differentiation versus the local markets and based on consumer in-sights to offer innovative, travel friendly formats and gifting solutions.

COTY is seeking a talented, highly motivated, and experienced individual to join COTY’s Global Travel Retail team. You will work closely with the Global Brand marketing teams, R&D, supply team and more importantly, the regional marketing teams in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Support Travel Retail in liaison with Global Marketing in efforts to achieve both brands and business goals – Be ‘the’ Travel Retail expert and business owner for the TREX portfolio. Drive growth based on business opportunities within Travel Retail. Develop new opportunities, manage, and develop new Travel Retail exclusive products, conduct business analysis and provide guidance to the various stakeholders.

THE ROLE:
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the Travel Retail channel, diverse brands, sales objectives, travel retail exclusives differentiation and marketing programs across all categories
  • Adjust and implement different brands, product strategies driven by the Travel Retail channel as well as global consumer base in the regions
  • Work with a variety of people from various business and cultural background
  • Strong negotiation, financial and tracking skills – as it’s crucial to engage global teams and be sure projects are delivered on time, meet financial targets, and are prioritized
  • Strong analytical skills – ability to draw information from diverse and varied sources, synthetize and find meaningful connections to drive the business forward.
  • Develop excellent communication process with all areas of business and stakeholders
  • Ability to work and coordinate projects in a flexible and fast-changing environment
  • Manage projects and take decisions under tight deadlines and be creative to propose efficient solutions

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Define and lead travel retail exclusive brands, portfolio and SKU strategy for the Travel Retail channel, to be able to differentiate from the local market offer, based on global guidelines but adjusted to distribution and regional needs (bridge between global and regional teams)
  • Leading the new product development (TR exclusive items), briefing global teams, analyzing financials, to ultimately drive growth in each of the regional markets. Build innovation overview of the various formats by category and optimize line ups based on ever changing Travel Retail consumer needs.
  • Maximize brand creative opportunities through finding creative solutions, making sure all innovations have been fully approved by Global Brand team and the license
  • Profitability “guardian”, tracking C1 of innovations and other projects.
  • Perform monthly business analysis and performance review for each brand, to be shared with global brand teams, in collaboration with the multifunctional and regional teams. Ensure the successful launch of new products. Closely monitor brands performance, products launches, execution, sell-in/sell-out qualitative information, new consumer or market trends and identify new opportunities thru consumer and competitive market study at least once per year.
  • Spearhead relationships with key internal contacts, with emphasis on effectively influencing and challenging Global Brand teams, R&D teams as well as supply team providing a sound understanding of the TR marketplace
  • Establish forecast files, coordinate forecast process on saleable and ensure sales forecasts are regularly updated and monitored to avoid OOS or access
  • Update key presentations & files e.g., line up files, assortment, marketing presentations (budget, innovation, etc.)
  • Liaise closely with the central Merchandising teams to implement merchandising solutions for new product developments to ensure consistency of each brand image, ensuring the brands look best in class in all store environments as well as with brand assets to be able to boost TREX as well in the e.com channel
  • Flexible to any business needs requirements

The Perfect Coty Fit:
  • Master’s degree in Management and/or Marketing (or related/equivalent discipline)
  • Min 5 year’s Marketing experience in Beauty/Luxury and/or Consumer Goods
  • Previous marketing experience in Travel Retail (TREX product development is a plus)
  • Passion for Beauty - Fragrances, Color Cosmetics and Skincare.
  • Ability to lead and direct in a highly matrix organization, across multiple markets and cultures, extremely well organized.
  • Experience in identifying gaps, influencing, developing together with brand team’s new product formats, leading and managing full lifecycle process with a good sense of aesthetics.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and administrative skills with strong negotiation and budget management skills.
