Head of Drug Product & Analytical Development

In this position you will join an innovative CMC NBE drug development department with a strong track record of success in developing novel antibody therapeutics based on the Ichnos proprietary bi-/tri-specific antibodies platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in Formulation and Analytical Development with prior experience managing teams.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Visualize the growth of drug product and analytical development department. Ensure the department remain at par with industry standards.
  • Conceptualize and develop phase appropriate strategies for the formulation, drug product and analytical development. Ensure timely transfer of process and analytical methods to internal/external participants on regular basis.
  • Provide clear direction and manage team leaders. Develop them from technical and managerial aspects.
  • Provide critical review to experimental work, data, and reports produced to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Actively contribute to the relevant part of section 3 of IND/IMPD’s.
  • Establish Ichnos as a scientific leader by actively presenting the key findings in scientific journals and meetings.
  • Evaluate external developments in the area of formulation, drug product and analytical development and make recommendations based on their applicability for Ichnos’s projects.
  • Perform other relevant duties as required.

EDUCATION AND DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Ph.D. in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biochemical engineering, chemistry, or biochemistry with at least 14 years of industrial experience or MSc or equivalent in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biochemical engineering, chemistry, or biochemistry with at least 15 years of industrial experience.
  • Visionary leader with demonstrated experience of leading multiple teams in matrix organization.
  • Strong mix of tactical and strategic management skills with ability to lead and influence stakeholders.
  • Solid decision-making ability and ability of give clear directions.
  • Substantial experience in protein/monoclonal antibodies/bispecifics formulation, drug product and analytical development.
  • An independent thinker and a team player with the ability to work independently within the group as well as within teams crossing disciplines and functions
  • Excellent communication skills, collaborative spirit and strong diplomacy skills are required.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal; French is a plus
