We are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering, passionate about building innovative digital commerce, to lead our engineering team in developing our state-of-the-art digital platform.

As a Head of Engineering at Emporix, you will work closely with the CPTO and collaborate with the Product Team, while guiding the company’s product vision and improving company policies and quality standards.

Tasks

• Design strategic plans to provide effective product development
• Ensure appropriate implementation of all methodologies and development process
• Develop standards and procedures to ensure quality standards are met and maintained
• Facilitate in optimal utilisation of various engineering resources
• Develop engineering KPIs, measure and report on them
• Develop together with HR, training and education programs for the team
• Develop and execute plans for sourcing near and off-shore development teams
• Coordinate with C-level and senior members and ensure appropriate utilisation of resources
• Understand and collaborate on the complete product lifecycle from concept to execution
• Recommend new technology, working models and ideas to improve sprints and efficiency
• Build, develop, and manage the engineering team capable of carrying out initiatives
  

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Sound experience in engineering leadership and leading an engineering team
• Extensive experience working with software development and with hardware engineering
• Understanding of enterprise software development with Java, Go or Scala
• Strong background in digital commerce
• Previous working experience in software design and developing customer-oriented platforms
• Prove success working closely with Product Management, contributing to product strategy and helping to successfully deliver on the product roadmap
• Proven ability to connect with other engineers and developers
• Proven ability to organise and manage distributed development teams
• Proven ability to build near and/or off-shore teams
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Strong knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and change management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
