The Role:

In our Global Headquarters based in Lausanne, Switzerland, we are looking for a highly skilled Head of Marketing Technology & Analytics, to lead the translation of our bold marketing transformation goals into the design and execution of the underlying MarTech & Analytics ecosystem. This will be a critical role, reporting to the CMO, to unify and consolidate marketing technology, skills and processes, harnessing the power of data and enabling our teams to create engaging and meaningful relationships with our consumers and customers every day. The area of marketing technology and analytics has been identified as the critical enabler to unlock the power of marketing, communications, brand experience, and growth. This role works closely with the Global Marketing & Communications Team, the Global IT Leadership and Marketing leaders, and stakeholders in the business and commercial organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the digital Marketing Technology transformation at a global scale, developing strategy, plans and ensuring strong execution to enable marketing and communications to leverage data to make more data-driven decisions.

  • Translate the CMO’s marketing vision into technology capabilities (i.e: unification of consumer identities across brands, cross-brand loyalty program, etc.)

  • Lead the design, building and execution of the omnichannel marketing technology stack, spanning across advertising, CRM, web experiences, apps, and more, scaled globally

  • Create and implement the analytics layer of the Marketing Technology stack, applying ML/AI and data science to drive key consumer insights

  • In collaboration with key stakeholders (IT, brand functions, business stakeholders), build the digital technology roadmap, ensuring that projects are executed against time and budget expectations

  • In conjunction with an IT counterpart, build a cross-functional team, composed of Marketing Technology experts, Data & Analytics experts & business engagement consultants

  • Lead digital projects and associated interdependencies, including online advertising, campaigns, connected devices, signage and social media.

  • Develop strategic programs across various digital/web/mobile technologies including responsive design, analytics and dashboards, SEO/SEM, campaign management, service integration, marketing database, etc.

  • Work with multiple digital agencies, driving standards, processes and strategic partnerships from a delivery perspective.

Experience And Skills:

Success in this role requires strong stakeholder management skills, interest in constantly pushing the boundaries of marketing technology and related analytics, and the ability to set high standards and build capability. Our environment is fast-paced and requires a candidate who is flexible, results-driven and can thrive in ambiguity.

  • A leader with very strong technical skills in Marketing Technology & Analytics. The ideal candidate has experience in marketing functions, has always liaised with digital/technology teams, and has experience owning the design of digital ecosystems

  • A digital marketing technology leader with a proven track record, covering application of digital technology for web, eCommerce (B2B and B2C), mobile, CRM, CDPs, DTC

  • Outstanding skills in business partnering, influencing and cross-functional collaboration, to lead and manage diverse delivery teams, business partners, agencies and partners, with ability to navigate mutually to best possible outcomes

  • Significant Experience in FMCG/ consumer industry and ideally B2B experience.

  • Experience leading strategic partnerships with external agencies/tech partners

  • Strong leadership experience with both direct and indirect report management.

  • Thought leadership and strategic thinking and deep experience presenting & influencing senior stakeholders

  • Demonstrated success leading and influencing cross-functional & cross markets teams in a matrix and decentralized environment

  • Experience building capability: People, Process, Technology.

  • Understanding of function and financial metrics.

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Marketing or Business or equivalent
