As a Head of Transport, Trade & Logistics, you will Set the global Trade & Logistics strategy in line with Company and S&VCE strategy for areas such as Trade Compliance, Import/Export & Transportation. Reporting to the Head of Business Unit Supply & Value Chain Excellence, you will Drive the implementation of global TT&L initiatives and monitor performance and global Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Your responsibilities

• Build up and lead PATU TT&L organization globally and ensure business continuity during & after the carve out process
• Continuous organizational development including review/ adjustment of job assignments, recruiting of new employees, people development, retention and performance mgmt...
• Develop and implement PATU TT&L strategy to ensure highest productivity, achieve year-on-year cost savings/ avoidance with highest compliance.
• Supplier portfolio mgmt, in particular forwarders and brokers (selection, onboarding, qualification, performance mgmt,…)
• Proactively support and closely collaborate with applicable functions in value chain, e.g. SCM functions (direct & indirect material sourcing, quality & compliance), operation/ distribution, commercial mgmt. and sales to continuously drive improvement and ensure trade compliance along the entire PATU value chain
• Challenge existing practices and continuously develop PATU TT&L strategy
• Develop / automate (and possibly manage) processes and tools (e.g. SAP GTS), analytics, KPIs and dashboards together with tools & process development teams

Your background

• University degree Master of Science in Engineering or Economics
• Proven track record in comparable position of 5-10 years. Significant experience in foreign trade, i.e. in supply chain management, especially in transport management and trade compliance and operation/ distribution. Additionally, in sourcing, category management, purchasing, sales, commercial know-how, experience in contract management and negotiations, tools & processes development, supplier quality development, change management, problem solving, customs mgmt.
• Current knowledge of the regulations, policies, and laws affecting foreign trade, including those related to currency, environmental concerns, taxes and security, among other issues, e.g. complex process dependencies, basic legal understanding
• Project management skills
• Excellent leadership skills and collaboration with various stakeholders
• Pro-active, entrepreneurial and strong decision maker
• International exposure and intercultural experience
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Fluent written and spoken English, German is an asset
