PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Host (Covid) Coordinator (HC) oversees and collects data of all Hosts (Covid) and other related positions in Covid-support of our guests in Europe. The HC will be responsible for recruiting (if applicable) and managing the pool of Hosts (Covid)under his/her supervision, that they are performing their duties according to the Viking Cruises Standards (PS0).

The HC reaches out to all Hosts (Covid) collects data and monitors individual coordinators & host performance. This means filling out a checklist, identifying the main issues and registering the number of Hosts (Covid) and their contracted period as freelancer.

The HC monitors the number of guests per destination, the hotels, the quality of the Covid-guests’ hotel stays, the guests’ satisfaction and identifies areas of improvement to maximize the guests experience during their stay in the different destinations.

The HC can work from home / remotely in Europe and he/she can expect minor business travel during the season to visit different destinations across Europe.

The HC reports to the Corporate Enrichment & Program Manager (CEPM) responsible for the Viking Covid-guests.

Your Responsibilities
  • Monitor & supervise Hosts (Covid), and other related positions in Covid-support
  • Monitor number of guests in the different destinations
  • Identify recruitment needs and communicate to CEPM
  • Visit cities & hotels if needed
  • Identify areas of improvement and revert to CEPM
  • Follow up on the action plan with the Hosts (Covid) and the CEPM
Management and product development
  • Demonstrate leadership of team of Hosts (Covid)
  • Cooperation with Hotels
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Responsible for monitoring the schedules of the Hosts (Covid) and other members of the Covid-support team
  • Assist the Covid-support team during difficult situations and in case of hospitalized guests
Monitor Viking Covid-stay quality
  • Ensure all Viking Cruises Standards (PSO) are adhered to regarding transfers and hotels
  • Hosts (Covid) and other related positions in Covid-support
  • Questionnaire management
  • Review monthly quality reports (Covid-Coordinator Quality Report)
  • Perform unannounced quality checks where needed and identify main challenges/ opportunities and analyze their root-cause
  • Provide info to CEPM to define and implement action plan by CEPM
Ensure to provide timely status update to your CEPM
  • Participate in a daily or weekly call with your CEPM
  • Share Covid-stay /host performance and defined action plan/coaching plan
  • Review status of ongoing initiatives
YOUR PROFILE
  • Graduated education or substantial work experience within hotel / tourism industry
  • Min. 3 years professional experience in a management position
  • International experience
  • Excellent English skills, other languages (depending on country) are an asset
  • Must work independently, profound computer knowledge (Teams & Excel)
  • Present excellent management, organizational and communication skills
  • Has a positive personality, friendly and neat appearance
  • Show stress resistance, flexibility, team player, shows commitment
  • Must be able to maintain good relationships with hotels, hosts, vendors, and corporates
  • Must be well groomed and maintain impeccable hygiene standards
  • Must be guest focused, service oriented, have a positive personality and professional appearance

  • Implement SOP policies, procedures, standards, as laid out by the management.
  • Ensure appropriate appearance and clothing according to the updated grooming standards.
