HR Coordinator / Specialist
Location: Zug (Hybrid working 3 days in the office 2 days remote)
Duration: 9 months (March to end of Dec 2023)
Hours: 40
Essential: German & English fluent & experience of Employee & Labour Law in CH
The HR Co-ordinator will work closely with the HR department supporting matters relating to Employee and Labour Relations. You will be responsible to support the transformation projects, organizational changes and the delivery of Employee and Labour Relations Services in Switzerland.
Other responsibilities will include effective management of Employee Relations matters (grievances, discipline management) and Labour Relations matters during workforce events.
Roles and Responsibilities
You will proactively act as adviser on matters related to the administration of contracts, employee discipline and grievance procedures. You drive initiatives to increase Employment and Labour Relations awareness towards our Business Leaders and employees and you are the person to go when it comes to coach and advise our workforce on Employment and Labour Relations matters.
Our group provides expert consulting and advisory services to Business Leaders and our diverse HR functions.
This will involve: Responsibilities
- Drives, supporting and enabling our People Leaders to manage direct interventions to manage most sensitive cases and or escalations
- Acts as Guardian of our Credo
- Monitor company adherence to labour agreements and drives and manages local Work Councils landscape
- Manage the operational plans to increase the effectiveness of services while improving the customer experience
- Employee Relations – ensure timely and complaint handling of all Grievance and Discipline requests. Coach & train managers on managing performance issues
- Labour Relations: Labour Relations consulting; legal adviser for major workforce events e.g. Restructuring
- Review and approve employee disciplinary actions
- Act as mediator or arbitrator for labour disputes or contract negotiations
- Train managers on topics related to employment and labour relations, such as working conditions, discipline management and/or equal opportunity practices.
How To Succeed
What We Look For In a Candidate
- Solid HR experience and or Degree in labour law
- German & English languages are mandatory
- Experience as a Labour Law adviser and/or Labour Relations specialist and/or HR Specialist
- Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
- Experience managing, planning and implementing projects and strategic change initiatives.
- Influence leadership skills, in an indirect, matrix-based, and virtual environment
- Enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
- Influence, negotiation and consultative skills
You will also bring:
1 / 2 years of experience within a HR role supporting the HR function, strong knowledge and experience of employee, labour, regulation in Switzerland. Fluent in German and English essential and you will be supporting a J&J Switzerland locations.

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run for 9 months and will be reviewed for an extension
