The use of the worlds’ most valuable datasets is limited due to sensitivity concerns and/or legitimate privacy regulations. What if it were possible to provide cryptographic proof that a computation combining sensitive datasets does not leak any personal data?

Cutting-edge development in cryptography and trusted execution environments enables providing such proofs, but correctly using this technology requires expert knowledge.

Together with companies such as Intel, Microsoft, Google and Alibaba we recently founded the Confidential Computing Consortium to push this space ahead.

We at decentriq enable our customers to unlock the potential of sensitive datasets by allowing them to collaborate without having to worry about privacy or security risks.

Tasks

We are looking for an intern (>3 months, >=80%, starting as soon as possible) to join our mission. Your responsibilities will be very hands-on and range from low-level implementation of our confidential computing platform to literature research and system design. You will collaborate with experts in the areas of cryptography and low-level system design. You will be working with technologies such as Intel SGX, Rust, NixOS, gRPC, Nomad, Consul, Docker, Jenkins, Javascript, Web-Assembly and React.

Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in computer architecture and operating systems
  • Experience in systems programming in C, C++ or Rust (We ♥ Rust)
  • Plus: Experience in security
  • Plus: Experience in backend and frontend Javascript
  • Willingness to dig into low-level architectural detail
