This position is part of the Information Security & Risk Management (ISRM) organization. As a trusted security advisor you enable the J&J MedTech sector to securely build and deploy innovative solutions in a diverse technical landscape. Cyber threats abound in today’s world and this role is at the cutting edge of combating those threats to enable J&J to deliver life-saving solutions and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a trusted security advisor in MedTech. Seeking secure solutions that enable MedTech business to grow, be innovative and enabled to realize the new breakthrough.
  • Responsible for advancing cybersecurity of MedTech Ethicon solutions, products, applications and integrations by recognizing and addressing key threats and related remediating controls.
  • Understand and promote security in technical areas keeping an eye on activities associated with external regulations and internal Johnson & Johnson policies such as, but not limited to IAPP, GxP and GDPR.
  • Chip in (security architecture/threat landscape design) and ensure embedding of cybersecurity in projects, applications and the technologies that run, while maintaining awareness of the changing threat landscape.
  • As a valued guide you contribute to a project or program, making a difference through finding niche and efficient security solutions in sophisticated settings enabling the business outcome.
  • As a team we are the link between the business teams and IT. We strive to shape the administrative controls as efficient as possible, providing the ability to focus on the advisory for cybersecurity which provides the innovative edge required for the business.
  • We maintain connections across peer groups to continuously learn and understand emerging security solutions that are ground-breaking enablers for challenges we face.

Qualifications

Education:
  • A BA/BS degree is preferred or equivalent (through experience or a knowledge intake assessment which is required for this position).
  • A foundation of IT knowledge is required, either through experience, education or certification.
  • Technical security knowledge/hands on experience is key (or a background in IT networks) and certifications are certainly a plus!

Required

Experience and Skills:
  • Shown experience in an IT or security (technical: architecture, Cloud technology, Zero Trust, Next Gen Solutions) is required (5 years).
  • Ability to maintain robust relationships with peers and business partners.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt and employ different techniques as appropriate.
  • Function efficiently both on an individual level as well as a member of the team.
  • Your dedication to integrity and the delivery of efficient results supports our Johnson and Johnson credo

Preferred
  • Experience in healthcare, Lifesciences or the biotech industry.
  • Experience in agile processes, new and industry edge security solutions are huge benefit.
  • Detailed understanding of the IT development processes in different settings (agile, proof of concept, ..)
  • Relationship skills (translation of ideas to customers, communication, ability to simplify complex situations, ..)!
  • Experience in Digital Surgery with Medical Device Software knowledge is a huge plus

Other
  • Fluently in English, with a second language (mother-tongue or proficient) being German.
  • Main location will be J&J Norderstedt, Germany.
  • Domestic and international travel, up to 10% may be encouraged
  • Certifications such as from SANS, EU Council or ISC2 are considered a plus.
