The purpose of Clariant Corporate Audit is to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services guided by the Standards of the IIA and a philosophy of adding value to improve the operations and successfully position Clariant for the digital future. It assists Clariant, as a third line of defense, in accomplishing its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and to improve the effectiveness of the organization’s governance, risk management and controls. Corporate Audit is guided by the Clariant Code of Ethics, which outlines Clariant’s ethical principles and values to be applied in daily business.

In your role as Audit Manager IS/IT (M/F/D) you will help to shape the future by planning, preparing and conducting IS/IT internal audits throughout the Clariant universe. You will report into the Head Corporate Audit and be based in Basel, Switzerland.



Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and execution of IT/IS audits globally including special projects
  • Interact and communicate with business and function leaders, e.g., auditees in the IT/IS or OT sphere
  • Provide management with regular updates; prepare and present in the final meetings.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and quality of reporting, working papers and high-quality audit reports
  • Facilitate and work with operational auditors in joined audits allowing an end-to-end audit approach
  • Interact with other team members to support the audit future analytics efforts
  • Conduct risk assessments over the IT/IS (incl. cyber security and resiliency, data protection and confidentiality, technology change, technology reliability) universe with results leading into the Corporate Audit plan
  • Integrate new audit methods, practices and tools
  • Manage support providers for selected and specialized assignments
  • Evaluate and propose improvements of / additions to audit programs (e.g. updates on COBIT).
  • Advisory on risk and compliance for emerging technologies for the 1st and 2nd lines of defense to strengthen their risk management capabilities and control environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 6-8 years of relevant/recent in IS/IT audit, compliance, controls, risk management for a consulting firm or in an Internal Audit function
  • Good understanding of IT Control and Security Frameworks, such as COBIT.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP systems and other state of the art IS/IT tools
  • Practical experience with data analysis/visualization in auditing methods (ACL, SQL, R, Python, SPSS, Tableau, etc.); Data Science expertise is a plus
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA); other certifications are welcome (CISSP, CIA, CPA, Compliance & Fraud certificates)
  • Fluent in English, other languages are an added advantage
  • Strong planning and project and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Applying professional scepticism, champion and promote the use of best practices
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and embrace change, thrive in a fast-paced environment and lifelong learner with a growth mindset
  • Willing to travel about 30%
